Exciting News!

This year we are partnering with the Evergreen Transition Program (ETP) who provide job training for teens with disabilities. This program gives young adults from the ages of 18-21 years old the chance to train in real-life job skills before they exit high school encouraging everyone, regardless of their disability, to find meaningful work after school ends.

We sited a south-facing spot near the ETP and over the summer and the Bellevue School district built this amazing garden bed and filled it with a 3-way garden mix of soil. (I LOVE good soil!) Thank you Nancy, you're a rock star!

Students participating in this program can prepare for jobs working in nurseries, garden centers, and landscape businesses. Our focus will be planting bulbs (narcissus, allium and of course tulips) to harvest and sell in the spring. I'll make sure to keep you posted on how our project is going as it progresses.
